Full-text available. 2021-04-09 · Like “intersectionality” (Crenshaw 1991), the “Anthropocene” is one of those rare terms that has crossed over from rather niche corners of academia into the cultural mainstream. Rather than confine itself, like mainstream economics, to the study of signs and subjectivities, it needs to develop its capacity to deal with the interaction of the symbolic and the material.
